Hugh Dunford Wood paints the landscape of West Dorset that surrounds his studio. In the 1970s he studied at the Ruskin School of Art at Oxford University. He has painted and exhibited worldwide, with work in several public collections including the V&A and The Bodlean Library. He was Artist in Residence at the Royal Shakespear Company, and later at the Globe Theatre with it first opened in 2000. In 2009 he was Artist in Residence at The Museum of Bermuda Art for the 400th anniversay of that islands first settlement.
